![]() ![]() Brownie points to anyone that can name all of the films or characters! Here are a few of my favourite images from the book. It is so interesting then to see some of the initial drawings that were developed to become the canonical images that are recognised all over the world today. The foreword by Ken Shue (Vice President of Disney Publishing Global Art Development) starts off by saying “The work showcased in this book comes from Disney artists and animators who brought great performances to the screen by drawing with emotion, sincerity, and intensity.” I think this is a lovely sentiment and it is true – the animations really do come to life on-screen. It contains a whole load of the real concept art and initial sketches for some of the classic Disney animations. It is a book called A Disney Sketchbook (2012) and it really is beautiful. Today I wanted to share with you a present I was given by my brother for my recent birthday. ![]()
